Server Configuration

Last updated: 2019-07-21

Current version: v2019.01

Requirements

  • The server must be hosted in North America
  • The server must be up to date
  • The server must be VAC-secured
  • The server must use the current NACL server config and whitelist
  • The server must not run any gameplay-changing plugins unless permitted otherwise
  • The server must be protected with a non-trivial password
  • The server logs must be uploaded to logs.tf and the link saved in the match report
  • The server demo must be uploaded to demos.tf and the link saved in the match report

Installation

Download (and extract) the following files to your server's tf/cfg directory:

Usage

To load the server configurations, the designated server administrator must run rcon exec nacl, after which the server will be configured for 5CP. To change gamemode configurations, the designated server administrator must run rcon nacl_5cp, rcon nacl_5cp_gc or rcon nacl_koth accordingly. The commands rcon nacl and rcon nacl_help are present in order to help. The CVars sv_pure and tv_enable require a map change to be updated.

Optional Plugins

Plugins that change gameplay are strictly forbidden unless part of the list below:

Plugins that do not change gameplay are permitted, here are some examples:

Server Hosts

Arie's na.serveme.tf should be pre-configured to handle match settings; when setting up a reservation, make sure that:

  • a non-trivial password is set (do not re-use previous ones)
  • a considerably difficult rcon password is set
  • the demos.tf option is enabled
  • the item whitelist is set to default (the server configuration will change it automatically)

We highly suggest that you buy premium if you plan on using it for matches.
